Description

MC-Epo Paint is a two-component protective coating based on epoxy resin, with strong adhesion to concrete, metal, masonry and wood.

Where to use

The approved source states use in contact with potable-water tanks, foodstuffs and oil-collecting tanks. Designed for exposure to chemicals, weathering, abrasion and humidity. Resistant to diluted acids, alkalis and mineral oils including gasoline, diesel, paraffin oil and fuel oil. Dry-heat resistance up to 80°C according to the approved source.

Where to use

Performance profile

Hard protective epoxy coating. Resistance to diluted acids and alkalis. Resistance to mineral oils. Weathering, abrasion and humidity resistance. Strong adhesion to concrete, metal, masonry and wood.

Surface preparation

Surface must be dry. Metallic surfaces should be sand-blasted. Concrete must be free of deteriorated cement, grease, oil and dust.

Mixing and thinning

Pour the curing component into the base component in the stated ratio and mix thoroughly for at least 4-5 minutes until homogeneous. The source states that the primer may be thinned and that subsequent coats may be applied after 24 hours depending on surface porosity. MC-Epo Paint may be thinned with 10-15% MC-Thinner 02.

Application

Apply by brush, roller or spray.

Safety

Prevent material from entering the eyes, avoid skin contact, provide adequate ventilation, and keep away from sparks and flames where solvent-containing material is involved.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with MC-Thinner 02.

Storage / shelf life

12 months.

Clear variant

Clear is a separate current variant. Packaging: 4 kg component A + 2 kg component B. Technical properties documented for the coloured system are not automatically assigned to the Clear variant.
