Description

MC-Kibo Epoxy 100 is a solvent-free two-component epoxy coal-tar coating that forms a flexible black protective film.

Where to use

Lining tanks containing oil, aqueous solutions and dilute acids and alkalis. Pipes and channels carrying sewage, industrial waste and sludge. Sewage and drainage structures exposed to corrosive fumes. Steel and concrete structures fully or partly immersed in seawater.

Advantages

Provides a durable barrier for protection of steel, concrete and masonry surfaces. Protective coating against chemical attack according to the approved source. The cured flexible film does not crack under hydrostatic pressure according to the approved source. Easy to use; high-build one-coat application with thixotropic character. High resistance to water media and waterproofing.

Surface preparation & mixing

Scrape and wire-brush the surface to remove all loose scale and foreign particles. Thoroughly mix the correct amount of component A and component B for at least 5 minutes.

Application

Apply by brush or airless pump. Use all mixed material within the pot life. Two coats are recommended, with the second coat applied 24 hours after the first.

Safety

Prevent material from entering the eyes and avoid skin contact. Provide adequate ventilation. Keep away from sparks and flames when handling solvent-containing cleaning materials.

Storage / shelf life

Shelf life is 12 months.

Packaging

5.7 kg for components A + B.
