Floor screeds and toppings; abrasion-resistant, non-dusting floors. Interior renderings to concrete, brickwork, cork and other thermal insulation materials. Waterproofing and tanking, swimming pools, lift pits and basements. Concrete repair, honeycombs, spalled concrete, worn steps and surfaces, beams and precast elements as a bonding agent.
Improves waterproofing. Improves wear resistance. Improves durability. Improves bonding between old and new concrete.
Appearance White emulsion Solid content 40% Specific gravity @ 25°C 1.02 g/cm³ Dilution With water Toxicity Non-toxic Shelf life 12 months Rate of use 2 kg / 50 kg cement Packaging 20 kg and 200 kg drums
Typical mortar proportion 3 parts clean sand : 1 part cement; approx. 2 kg MC-S.B.R per 50 kg cement Compressive strength 30-32 N/mm² Flexural strength 10-13 N/mm² Tensile strength 5-6 N/mm² Chemical resistance Resists alkalis, mild acids, sulphates, chlorides, sugar, etc.
Apply to damp substrates; dry substrates should first be wetted. For bonding slurry (priming), use 1 part water : 1 part MC-S.B.R and approximately 2 parts cement, mixed to a lump-free creamy consistency. Work the slurry well into the damp surface with a stiff brush. Do not allow the slurry to dry. Keep the slurry thickness at approximately 2 mm or less. Place the succeeding mortar wet-on-wet.
Screed and topping: place the screed, topping or patching mortar onto the still-wet bonding slurry and use a low water-cement ratio for thick-layer mortar. Repair mortar: patch MC-S.B.R-modified mortar onto the still-tacky bonding slurry. Pre-mix MC-S.B.R with water at 1:1 to 1:2 before adding to sand/cement. The thinner the repair patch, the higher the MC-S.B.R dosage; use the 1:1 ratio for thin patches.
Shelf life: 12 months. Packaging: 20 kg and 200 kg drums. Rate of use: 2 kg MC-S.B.R per 50 kg cement.
