MC-Flow Plug

Quick- setting hydraulic cement compound that Stops flowing water instantly

MC-Flow Plug is a quick setting treated cement compound to mix with water , It complies with ASTM – C109 and B.S. 1881- part 4 1970 .

Description

MC-Flow Plug is a quick-setting treated cement compound for mixing with water. The source references ASTM C109 and BS 1881 Part 4:1970.

Where to use

stops flowing water through holes or cracks in concrete and masonry surfaces. Seals around pipes, conduits and ducts. Repairs cracks in concrete and masonry construction. Rrrecommended before cement-based masonry coating such as MC-Flow Seal.

Advantages

Sets fast: approximately 3-5 minutes. Expands upon setting. Easy to use; no special equipment is required. Just add water. Non-staining. Durable.

Technical data

Packaging 20 kg bags Rate of use 0.5 kg of MC-Flow Plug will seal a crack 20 mm x 20 mm x 70 cm

Mixing

Add clean water to a small amount of MC-Flow Plug and mix to a putty consistency. Do not prepare more material than can be placed within two minutes. Warm water accelerates setting while cold water slows it. Below 15°C setting may be delayed; above 30°C protect the material from direct hot sun.

Application

To stop flowing water: 1) Seal the crack from top to bottom, ending at the point of maximum pressure. 2) For the final closure, delay placing MC-Flow Plug until it is warm to the touch, then force it into the opening and maintain pressure for a few minutes until the material hardens. 3) Shave off surplus material.

Method statement

Existing structure: enlarge the crack to a width and depth of 20 mm. Cut a square or undercut profile to help hold the patch; do not cut a V-shaped groove. New construction: insert a 20 mm x 20 mm strip flush at the junction of vertical walls and concrete floor slabs. This opening is then prepared for MC-Flow Plug. Place concrete and allow it to cure.

Packaging & consumption

Packaging: 20 kg bags. Consumption: 0.5 kg of MC-Flow Plug will seal a crack 20 mm x 20 mm x 70 cm.
